Days of Centering Prayer

Advent and Lent

The times of Advent and Lent offer an opportunity to nurture our inner life with God in a deeper way. Centering Prayer is one of the oldest forms of prayer in our Catholic tradition.

This simple form of silent prayer invites us to become still before the Indwelling Presence of God in a stance of openness and surrender.  Our practice of Lectio Divina will focus on the scriptural readings which will help us to enter more deeply into the mystery of this sacred time.

The day includes presentations and the experience of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and celebration of the Eucharist. Lunch is included.
