St. Eugene’s Wish List

Born into French high society, Eugene de Mazenod experienced life in a dysfunctional family. With God’s healing help, Eugene was freed to offer his gifts and talents for the good of others. Ordained in 1811, he called together his first group of missionaries in 1816. Named for his profound and tender respect for the Virgin Mary, to be close to the people, they began instructing the neglected workers and street people of the town.

Father de Mazenod, in his preaching and teaching, taught them about love and the healing compassion of God. For over 70 years, The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and the Staff have offered prayers for the help and healing of those who have sought this place to restore their souls and nurtured their relationship with God.

Your Generosity

King’s House has relied on the generosity of our retreatants to provide the means to continue the ministry of the Oblates to bring the “Good News” to those who would hear it.

Our retreatants have put their prayers and intentions in the care of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate and we are humbled by the many requests for prayers and offerings that have sustained this ministry.
