Oblates Motto

“He has sent me to bring Good News to the Poor...The Poor have heard the Good News”

The spirit of St. Eugene is inspired by Isaiah 61:1.

Christ the King Retreat Center is a ministry of our community, The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. We are the eleventh largest order of religious men in the Roman Catholic Church with over 3,800 priests and brothers serving in 68 countries.

Christ the King Retreat Center is one of four major retreat centers that we operate in the United States. Wherever we are, our mission is to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to those who have had the least opportunity to hear it.

Our community was founded in 1826 in Aix en Provence, France, by St. Eugene de Mazenod. He has been called the patron of dysfunctional families.
