The year 2020 is a significant year for me. On September 5, will celebrate my 50th anniversary of priesthood. I find myself asking the question,“How did these years go by so quickly?” In recent years as celebrated the Eucharist, I often thought what a privilege it is to celebrate Mass.

Our current retreat theme is “Broken, Blessed and Sent,” which are the three defining movements of our life journey. Being in touch with the interplay between these three realities helps us to realize how God uses every experience of our life journey to help us become spiritually mature and wise.

Jesus teaches us how to find the blessedness the fragile moments our lives. Brokenness is never the last word. The last words are “Blessed” and “Sent.’”
